Whalebone haiku

Whale vertebra with haiku poem inserted into the foramen that once carried the spinal chord.

One of a series that will carry messages from head to tail.

The poem is by Chris Jones and reads:

Sluiced from its belly:

shoals, blind eels,

squid from the deep,

this man curled asleep.
