Thoth: from Egyptian Sketchbook

In Art the Egyptian god Thoth, one of the most important deities of the Egyptian pantheon, was often depicted as a man with head of an ibis.

This is the second of a series of preliminary sketches for a series of much larger drawings (measuring 1.5m x 1.5m) that will represent the skulls of various Egyptian animal-headed deities at a god-like scale (see also Sketchbook page 9: The Set(h) Animal.
